Who We Are
PCEA Sigona Parish is a vibrant, Christ-centered fellowship and a member of the Muguga Presbytery. Established in 2008, we are a single-congregation parish serving a fast-growing peri-urban population along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway. We are a community rooted in Reformed theology, dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission and the call to love one another.
Our Vision
To be a beacon of hope in Sigona, Kikuyu, and beyond, serving as a hub for spiritual excellence that transforms lives through the power of the Gospel.
Our Mission
To faithfully steward the gifts, resources, and people God has entrusted to us to reach and change the world through the gospel of regeneration.
Our DNA
A vibrant, Christ-centered parish in Muguga Presbytery, established in 2008 and serving a fast-growing peri-urban community along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway.
Our Mandate (The "Roots")
Our identity is grounded in the PCEA emblem: Faith, Hope, and Love (1 Cor. 13:13). We are guided by:
- The Word of God in its entirety
- Presbyterian Governance: A connectional, hierarchical model ensuring accountability and spiritual oversight.
- Covenantal Framework: Clear policies that provide structure for orderly worship and wise resource management.
Our Values
- Stewardship and Financial Integrity: Managing all resources with total honesty and transparency as temporary caretakers for God.
- Compassionate Care: Providing active spiritual and material support to our members and leaders during difficult times.
- Excellence in Service: Maintaining professional standards and treating all physical assets as sacred tools for ministry.
- Inclusivity and Accessibility: Removing barriers to the Gospel for everyone, specifically the Deaf community and those facing addiction.
- Holistic Empowerment: Improving lives through education and skill-building at our academies and colleges.
Our Focus on the Great Commission
The commitment of PCEA Sigona Parish to the Great Commission serves as the foundational "why" behind its entire organizational structure and policy framework.
According to the Parish Minister, the policy document is a covenantal tool designed to help the community steward gifts, resources, and people specifically to fulfill the mandate of Matthew 28:19–20. In the context of our Parish DNA, this community focus is operationalized through several key areas defined in the sources.
